PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk also supports ASEAN CISO Forum 2018 which was initiated by ASEAN Chief Information Officer Association (ACIOA) The purpose of this event is to increase the awareness of the Chief Information and Security Officers (CISO) from various sectors about the importance of cyber security and national defense in this digital age.
The Telkom Director of Digital and Strategic Portfolio David Bangun states that Telkom is supporting various activities related to the theme of globalization and technologic innovation, especially the ones that affects the digital ecosystem, including the issue of cyber security. David also states that Telkom as a broadband service provider, sees cyber security as a priority in this digital era. “Indonesia is currently one of the countries with the highest rate of cyber attack in the world, making the matter of cyber security an extremely urgent thing”, he adds. This event is also attended by Mr. Rudiantara, the Minister for Communication and Information, Dr. Ing. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA, Executive Chairman of National ICT Council, Mr. Chaircharearn Atibaedya as the President of CIOA, Brigjen, TNI (Mar) Suharyanto, the Deputy for Monitoring and Controlling of the Indonesian National Cyber and Crypto Agency, Letjen TNI (Purn) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the former Deputy Minister of Defense and also acting as the Vice Chairman of the Indonesia Asian Games 2018 Organising Committee.
